Description

Photograph nature right here with us!

NHG brings you the uniquely detailed and talented work of photographer Irwin Lightstone to inspire you in a morning of camera work focusing on the beauty that can be found right here in our own gardens. Don’t miss a great value on this extensive workshop one-on-one with a professional.

Enjoy a morning session of shooting in color, then get editing guidance from the artist in the afternoon session and sharing time with your fellow students. You’ll have the additional opportunity to learn to effectively light your subjects indoors.

Along with your digital camera and a sense of wonder, bring a USB drive or a laptop for editing and viewing. Tripods, reflectors and any macro equipment you might own will also help you take full advantage of this workshop.

  • Shooting session: 10am- 12pm

  • Lunch break: 12-1pm

  • Editing session: 1pm-2:30pm

If you’d like, enjoy a fresh breakfast, lunch, or a snack from our Café at NHG while you're with us.

Add living inspiration to your photographs from a day with us at North Haven Gardens.

After 29 years practicing trial law, Irwin Lightstone closed his law firm to concentrate on his photography. His photographic work has won numerous awards and is often featured in the Cactus and Succulent Journal. An active speaker and educator, he has led programs and workshops sponsored by the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Arboretum, the International Photography Hall of Fame, and the Cactus and Succulent Society of America.
