Drikung Seattle is pleased to welcome H.E. Garchen Rinpoche to Seattle for three weekend teachings in April 2019.

About HE Garchen Rinpoche
H.E. Garchen Rinpoche is one of the four Eminences of the Drikung Kagyu lineage. His incarnations originated from the Siddha Gar Chodingpa, the heart son of Drikung Kyobpa Jigten Sumgon. He is one of the most important lineage holders of Drikung Kagyu. Rinpoche was born in Nangchen, Qinghai, in 1936. Currently, Rinpoche resides in America and he shoulders the great task of rebuilding the Drikung Kagyu monasteries in eastern Tibet. Out of great compassion, Rinpoche travels tirelessly to teach the Dharma.

Chod represents cutting through all attachment to the body and material things and ultimately cutting through the root of delusion

April 20 (Sat.) 9:00-12:00 &2:30-5:00 Dzogchen teaching
Dzogchen is about discovering and continuing in the natural primordial state of being

April 26 (Fri.) 2:30 Namgyalma Empowerment
This practice removes obstacles to long life and brings purification as well as helps those with very severe diseases.

April 27 (Sat.) 9:00-12:00 &2:30-5:00 7 Taras teaching

April 28 (Sun.) 9:00-12:00 Ritual & Prayers for Living & Deceased

2:30-5:00 Tsok Feast offering & Katak offering to H.E Garchen Rinpoche

Suggested Donation: Empowerment $40 each
Teachings: $50 per day
*No one will be turned away for lack of funds. For scholarship and student pricing please email: info@drikungseattle.org

Rinpoche will teach in Tibetan and the teachings will be translated into English. Vietnamese and Chinese translation will also be available via radio.

Appeal to volunteers: There will be many opportunities to serve Rinpoche by volunteering your time and skills during the teachings: setting up, registration, decorating the stage, tsok preparation, clean-up, etc. Please email info@drikungseattle.org, if you would like to be a volunteer.

The venue is wheelchair accessible.
