Event Information
Description
A Free Networking event for employees, students and fans of the Video Game Industry in and around Leeds with FREE BEER!
Event is at:
White Cloth Gallery 24 - 26 Aire Street Leeds LS1 4HT
Project Static have been co-hosting the Networking Event GameDevNorth in Liverpool and Chester for nearly a year now. Started by Samuel Mottershaw of Q.U.B.E and Sony fame in 2012. At these events we get 100-200 Video Game Developers from the North West together at a bar for free, have free drinks and have a video game related quiz with real prizes! This Summer Project Static moved our office to Leeds and we are bringing our famous free networking event with us!

If you havn't been to GameDevNorth before here's the idea. We love conferences. The free merchendise and open bars are awesome, even better if you have a blank chequebook from your AAA Developer. But for most of us when you include travel, hotels and tickets conferences cost thousands of pounds.
So with the help of companies such as Sheridans Solicitors, Microsoft and TIGA we have been able to put on events for one evening. Totaly free and with a genorous bar tab. We network with people in the industry until about 10pm and then socialise and make lifelong friends and generally have an amazing night until the early hours of the morning with other people from the industry. The Guardian described GameDevNorth as: "Networking Valhalla!"
The event starts at 7pm at The White Cloth Gallery on Aire Street, Leeds. http://www.whiteclothgallery.com/contact/ It's right by the train station, a car park and a taxi rank so it's easy to get to no matter how you travel.
Sponsors are yet to be announced but grab your ticket and visit one of the biggest and most talked about indie events in the country. If you are AAA, Indie or a Student you are welcome!
It is really important that you register now for that free ticket as supply will be limited and venue and free bar tab will be decided by the number of eventbrite tickets. So if 50 people sign up and 200 turn up then the bar is not going to be big enough and there's not going to be enough free drinks!
