June 3, 2020, the Douglas County Health Department posted this reminder: “Until there is appropriate medication and a vaccine, the Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) is emphasizing the importance of remembering and continuing to use the only ways we have to protect ourselves. Hand-washing and social distancing remain important tools to avoid infection,” Health Director Dr. Adi Pour said. “You should wear a mask every time you go out in public to protect those around you.”
