Event description

Description

We invite you to join us for a special reception as the Arizona Community Foundation proudly presents a new exhibit in The Gallery at ACF, featuring the works of Alex Jimenez. Her collection, From Urban Lands to Natural Streets draws inspiration from the vibrancy of her Mexican heritage to create a sense of place within the landscape of her ancestors in the city of Tucson. Her work delves into identity within natural and man-made landscapes and brings contemporary issues of social inequality, gentrification and development, and place-making into public discourse.

While you take in the beautiful pieces in the new installation, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and refreshments in the company of the artist and other friends of ACF.

Also part of the evening’s proceedings will be a dedication of The Gallery to the memory of Karen Work Seleznow. The Gallery will receive a new name honoring Karen, who founded the space in 2011 and curated its installations.
