Overview

Explore Afrofuturism as a practice of renewal, resistance, and becoming, where Black futures and imagination lead the way.

We're welcoming 2026 with an immersive workshop that invites participants into Afrofuturism as a living practice of renewal, resistance, and reimagining. Rooted in Black diasporic knowledge, speculative futures, and embodied wisdom, this session explores how Afrofuturist thought can support personal and collective becoming in a world shaped by colonial harm and ongoing struggle.

Through guided reflection, somatic and creative exercises, and collective dialogue, participants will engage Afrofuturism not just as an aesthetic or genre, but as a toolkit for survival and transformation. Together, we will map ancestral memory, tend to the present body, and experiment with futures where Black life, joy, and liberation are central.

This workshop is designed for those seeking space to rest, imagine, and practice renewal beyond dominant frameworks of healing. No prior knowledge of Afrofuturism is required, only a willingness to dream, feel, and co-create new galaxies of possibility.

Please note: this workshop is for Black and Global Majority only.
