Àdhamh Ó Broin is a Gaelic consultant from Argyll who now lives and works out of his home base of Glasgow, Scotland. He is the Gaelic language consultant for the hit TV show Outlander, but for this event, he will be regaling us with some stories and then provide us tutelage about Scots Gaelic and some lessons. He is passionate about bringing Gaelic to all facets of Scottish life back to his homeland. Àdhamh was nominated for an award for his International Contribution to Scottish Gaelic in 2014. He is also an accomplished singer and songwriter. Please join us for this wonderful and definitely entertaining afternoon with him in Surrey, BC.
The doors to the event will open at 12:20pm and we will start at 12:30pm. The last hour will be devoted to Q&A. The room is inside the Guilford Library with entry from the inside of the library. There are restrooms inside the meeting room. We will conclude at 4:30pm. At that time, all those who are interested will go to the Sheraton Hotel to wait in line for a book signing by Diana Gabladon, who will be in attendance at the Surrey International Writers Conference. There is no charge to attend the book signing, which commences at 5:30pm.
Each ticket holder will receive a swag bag, which will be distributed at the event. Refunds will be provided until September 22nd, after which there will be no refunds. If the event does not sell out, tickets will be available at the door.

Ms. Pipkin is a pint-sized dynamo with a penchant for organizing social events of any scale for Outlander fans. A visionary, she founded OutManders, to accentuate the fact that Outlander has universal appeal (and to get herself a kilt-wearing hottie (Shhhh - unless you're a kilt-wearing hottie). She is also one of the adminstrators of the Facebook group Puget Sound Sassenachs and she founded Outlander Giving, which is dedicated to auctioning items for Diana Gabaldon's charities.
