Description

This 3 day course is brought to you by the City of Los Angeles, Emergency Management Department. Priority registration is given to Los Angeles City and regional government partners. However, space may be available for additional registrants. You may apply on-line but registration will not be confirmed until two weeks prior to the course if you are not a City of LA employee or regional government partner.

This course will help you qualify for the CSTI Type III Credential as an EOC Coordinator, Debris Management Group Supervisor, Public Works Group Supervisor, Advanced Planning Unit Leader, Personnel Unit Leader, EMMA Coordinator and all the positions under the Finance and Admin section. It is also a requirement for the CSTI Emergency Management Specialist Certificate.

This course focuses on various programs related to recovery after a disaster. Content also includes the Recovery Planning process. The core curriculum includes the following subjects:

• Public Assistance
• Individual Assistance
• Recovery Planning at the Local Level
• Safety Assessment Program
• Debris Management
• PDA/IDE Process
• The Declaration Process
• Environmental and Historical Considerations
• Long-Term Recovery and Community Development
