Event description

Description

Two day course.

Wednesday 14th March 2018 and Thursday 22nd March.

9:00am - 16.30pm.

Pragmatic solutions to learning and thriving, using mindfulness approaches to help children aged 10-11 years old live happier, more meaningful lives.

"We were incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to welcome Dr Mike Scanlan to our school last week. His real-life, engaging nature meant that he was able to mix mindfulness theory with the practicalities of its use and impact. His approach was sincere and humorous throughout, whilst never shying away from the important and serious nature of individuals and their mental health and well-being. As a staff group of nearly 60 people, it was relevant to everybody and I would unreservedly recommend Mike's workshop to any school, whatever their situation."

Matt Coleman - Principal. Windmill Primary School, Raunds.

A free 2 day course for staff that recognise the need for children to be able to make mindfulness lifestyle choices.

Aimed at ages 10 & 11, it integrates all four mindful approaches into a fun and stimulating learning package.

This course includes…

  • - using the miracle question
  • - being present/mindfulness
  • - how it feels to take valued directions
  • - positive data recording
  • - exploring self-as-context
  • - cognitive de-fusion

20 PLACES AVAILABLE. TWO PLACES PER SCHOOL.
