OSC2 and the Climate Collaborative present...

FUTURE OF FOOD: CROSSING THE CLIMATE CHASM
Helping your company’s stakeholders understand and take action on climate

Join OSC2 and the Climate Collaborative on Aug 22 for a workshop and high-level conversation on how to bridge the gaps in understanding about climate change. We'll start with an hour-long workshop with communications expert Gagan Levy of Guru Media on refining how we talk about climate change, showcasing examples of companies that are doing a great job of this already, and discussing how to integrate these insights into our own work.

We'll then break for a networking reception, and resume the program with an interactive panel with leaders in our industry and beyond, who are finding ways to unlock deeper, more meaningful conversations and action through storytelling, consumer dialogue, and more.

Featuring:

  • Gagan Levy, Founder, Guru Media
  • Tim Schultz, VP of Research & Development, Lundberg Farms
  • Jon Silverman, SVP of Product Development, The Grove Collaborative
  • Lisa Curtis, CoFounder & CEO, Kuli Kuli
  • Stephen Mitchell, Managing Partner, Good Earth Natural Foods

Tickets: Advanced ticket purchased required. Tickets will not be available at the door.

50% of all ticket proceeds will benefit the Climate Collaborative.

The Climate Collaborative was born from a belief shared by natural food leaders that our industry has great potential to do much more to reverse climate change by working together.  The idea grew from a phone call between Jessica Rolph and Lara Dickinson - both in different parts of the country and both personally and professionally feeling the effects of climate change. Lara committed to making this the next OSC2 Collaborative Project and along with Jessica, Nancy Hirshberg and Katherine DiMatteo of SFTA, the team developed a plan. From the start, New Hope Network partnered with the Collaborative and committed their resources and enthusiasm to driving climate action in the industry. The Climate Collaborative launched on Climate Day at Expo West on March 8, 2017.

The Climate Collaborative was approved by the OSC2 and SFTA boards as a joint project in September 2016. In April 2017 the Sustainable Food Lab, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, became the Climate Collaborative’s partner and fiscal sponsor.
