About this event
Since 2016, MORTAR has joined forces with Hillman to create Future History Now (FHN), a celebration of Black History Month & Black culture. Throughout the past several years, FHN has highlighted our community’s diversity and inclusion efforts through engaging conversations, knowledge sharing, and platforms that create opportunities for minority innovators.
In 2021, MORTAR is taking Future History Now to another level by highlighting and celebrating a different type of Black Entrepreneurs: VISUAL ARTISTS. For the past year, many artists have found new ways to showcase their talents and inspiration even in the midst of a pandemic and ongoing social unrest. This curated gallery of Black Visual Artists will further strengthen the midwest as a hub for Black entrepreneurs & artists.
Black History Month provides us with a prime opportunity to explore how to not only celebrate the past, but also a chance to continue creating platforms for more innovators, culture-shifters, and the future’s history-makers, NOW.
MEET THE ARTISTS!
