About this event
Medical Excellence JAPAN (MEJ) and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), given the importance and potential of Viet Nam-Japan cooperation in the healthcare sector, will organise a bilateral side event entitled 'Further Collaboration in Healthcare Sector between Vietnam and Japan' on the occasion of the annual meeting of the World Health Organization Regional Commission for the Western Pacific to be held in Himeji, Japan at the end of October this year. This event will be streamed online via Zoom webinar.

About the organizer
Medical Excellence JAPAN (MEJ) is an organisation that promotes international health cooperation by working together with governments, medical communities, academic organisations encompassing associations of medical sciences, and healthcare industry. MEJ also provides a business development platform in response to the needs of countries that could benefit from excellent medical technology, medical equipment, human resource development, and other healthcare services from Japan.
The Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) is an international organisation providing support to the chair of the ASEAN Summit and the East Asia Summit through policy research focusing on three pillars: deepening economic integration, narrowing development gaps, and achieving sustainable development in the region. Its establishment was formally agreed among 16 heads of government at the Third East Asia Summit in Singapore on 21 November 2007. It works closely with the ASEAN Secretariat, researchers, and research institutes from East Asia to provide intellectual and analytical research and policy recommendations.
ERIA was ranked ninth out of 85 top International Economic Policy Think Tanks in the 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report (GGTTI) conducted by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTSCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania.
