Furniture Re-use Workshop
This is a FREE 3 hour workshop for Bexley residents (over 18 yrs).
Do you like being creative? Then this course will help you with some simple skills such as stencilling, painting or decoupage which you can then use to revamp your item of furniture. Please bring along an item of furniture that you can to carry by yourself and take home with you on the day. Suitable items include a kitchen chair, sidetable, jewellery box etc.
The workshop will start with a short 20 minute discussion about how you can make the most of your furniture or pass it on for reuse. The majority of the workshop will be a practical session. There should be enough time to complete most projects on the day - depending on the size and complexity of your design/changes. The workshops are being run with Bexley Adult Education and their tutor will be running the practical part of the workshop.
It is advisable to clean and lightly sand your item if needed, before you arrive.
You will need to bring your own apron or old shirt etc iif you wish to protect your clothes especially if you are messy painter!
Please note that places are limited and on a first come first serve basis. Please make sure you provide your phone number and your address when you sign up. Each person must sign up individually - no multiple tickets available.
Strict cancellation policy: You must give 48hrs notice. Failiure to do so will mean that you will not be able to attend this course or other simliar courses run by the waste team.
