Furman University Single Reed Day
Saturday November 16, 2019
One-day workshop for middle school and high school students who play clarinet and saxophone. No audition required. Spend the day with us! Lunch is provided. All events take place on the Furman University campus, Daniel Music Building and McAlister Auditorium.

FAQs
Q: When can I register?
A: Now! Register before November 1 for Early Bird Discount. On-line registration closes November 13. Walk-ins welcome the day-of.
Q: What should I bring to Furman Single Reed Day?
A: You should have your instrument, reeds, music (solo and all-state audition music), a notebook for taking notes, a pencil or pen, and money for vendors.
Q: What is a master class?
A: A master class is a group session in which a teacher coaches a student. These usually involve a single student performer, but include feedback and advice for all in attendance. They are valuable ways to learn from one another and excellent opportunities to perform.
Q: What will the vendors be selling?
A: Reeds, music, accessories, and mouthpieces. There will also be clarinets, saxophones and other equipment available for trial and purchase.

DISCOUNTS
1. EARLY BIRD: $5 Discount if you register BEFORE Nov 1.
2. ALL-STATE / REGION BAND: Save an additional $5 if you were listed as a seated member in last year's All-State or Region Honors Band: Junior, Clinic or Senior. (alternates not eligible)
