Professor Harding

Patrick Harding received his BSc degree in Agricultural Botany followed by his D Phil in evolutionary ecology at the University of York. He taught undergraduates for 7 years before spending 17 years at the University of Sheffield where he organised and taught on one of the largest extramural science programmes in the country. He has been freelance for the last 20 years.

Patrick Harding has contributed to Cambridge University’s Residential Programme at Madingley for 30 years and served as external examiner for the Certificate in Practical Horticulture and Plantsmanship run at the Botanic Garden. He also teaches for Oxford University and for a range of institutions including the Forestry Commission and county Wildlife Trusts.
