Event description

Description

San Francisco comedians and local hair/mustache icons Connor Marshall (Dr. Fart Comic) and Andrew Holmgren (SF Weeklys best comic 2014/ VICELAND) are gearing up to bring you another raucous edition of FUNgeon: the most fun you can have in the basement of a porn company-owned cocktail bar while keeping your clothes on.

Connor and Andrew present an evening of some of their favorite comedians from the Bay Area and beyond.

7:30 and 9:30 PM shows

The April 27th lineup includes

Eloisa Bravo - is an enigmatic and highly personal comedienne. She started her comedy career soon after she discovered she couldn’t have children and a subsequent divorce. She holds nothing back and derives much of her material from anger, exploding with energy on stage. You’ll notice her immediately for her Venezuelan accent and highly expressive performance; yet it’s the nature and intensity of her material that will stick with you, with its unique perspective on the issues affecting urban, single women. She comes with a voice that is unique in the world of comedy, eliciting strong reactions in audiences that leave surprised, because they had no idea what to expect.

Andrew Orolfo - If life wasn't hard enough, this college drop out decided it was time to put down the books and pick up a struggle. Being a first generation American to Filipino parents, the idea of stand up as a profession, was met with disdain and heated arguments. But After a few years of hitting stages, Andrew has now become a staple in the San Francisco comedy scene, performing at the local shows and comedy clubs. He has been featured in the SF Sketchfest and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival. Currently, he produces one of the best monthly comedy showcases in the Bay Area. A free comedy showcase inside a fresh and swanky barber shop. His parents are chill now.

Joey Avery - After starting his career in Cape Town, South Africa Joey Avery received the Jimmy Gunn award for Best Newcomer to the Bay Area comedy scene in 2014, and landed a top 10 video on Reddit. Since his arrival he has become a paid regular at every major club in San Francisco and several others around the Bay Area. Joey has appeared on Fox, NBC, and AJ+ as well as in the San Francisco Sketchfest Comedy Festival and the San Diego Sun God Music and Arts Festival.

Keith D'souza - Shortly after starting his stand up career in Chicago, Keith moved to San Francisco and quickly became a part of the amazing Bay Area comedy scene, performing 5-15 times a week. He has appeared at the Purple Onion, Rooster T Feather's, Tommy T's, Cobb's Comedy Club, and the Punchline (he has performed at many of those places as well). His raucous style of "punk rock comedy" has won the hearts and drinks of many audience members.
