Oliver Woolley is a Founder Partner of Envestors Limited and an Executive Director of the British Business Angels Association (BBAA). Established in 2004 Envestors runs a Private Investor Club of 700 individuals looking to invest up to £5m in high growth businesses. With offices in London, Manchester, Jersey and Dubai, Envestors has made over 100 investments and in 2009/10 won “Private Investor Network of the Year” at Investor Allstars.

After studying Finance at Bristol University, Oliver decided not to become an accountant but instead raised private equity and bank debt to start his own venture in the food industry – including a retail catering business in central London and organic sausage shops in the south-east of England. In 1997 he sold the business and moved into early-stage investing. Oliver has invested in, and sits on the board of, several early-stage businesses. Oliver has a MBA from Imperial College, London, where he lectures occasionally in entrepreneurship.

Nigel Grierson co-founded the Doughty Hanson Technology Fund in 2000 and currently serves as co-Managing Director. His specific areas of expertise include financial venture investment, high technology marketing and organisation development.

Previously, Nigel was the Group Director for Intel Capital Europe, managing a team responsible for making strategic equity investments and developing new business opportunities throughout Europe. He and the team together originated and invested in over 35 technology start-up companies, many of which became substantial public companies. Nigel has also worked at AT&T in the Communications Product Division leading a team developing high performance silicon processors.

Nigel delivers a number of career development courses for the European Venture Capital Association.

Luke Lang is the Marketing Director & Co-Founder of Crowdcube, a crowd funding platform for UK startups. Luke cut his marketing teeth working for a successful UK-based Internet Service Provider marketing technology and internet solutions for businesses. Luke also ran his own marketing consultancy that specialised in digital marketing, B2B marketing and marketing strategy.

Founded in 2010, Crowdcube is the next generation of business investment. It is a new way to fund start-ups and business expansion by crowdfunding for equity, giving entrepreneurs a platform to connect with ordinary people and raise venture capital.

By attracting lots of investors who invest smaller amounts of money into a person, company, product or idea you can bypass the traditional ways of raising venture finance.

Budding Dragons, family, friends or people with an interest in a business now have an easy way to invest in people and companies that they want to support. People can invest and follow a company's progress and be part of their success.

Olivia Gray is an Assistant Director at Ariadne Capital and Network Manager at Entrepreneur Country. Olivia joined in December 2012, bringing extensive experience of business strategy and organisational management.

Olivia has a keen interest in entrepreneurship and the development of start-up businesses, having founded and been involved with a number of technology and service start-ups.
