Julia Hartz, Co-Founder & President at Eventbrite 

Julia serves as Co-Founder & President of Eventbrite and is responsible for the overall vision and strategy of the company. Julia is a reformed Television Network Executive and comes to

Eventbrite by way of Hollywood. During her tenure in the television industry, Julia was a creative executive at FX Networks and helped supervise The Shield, Nascar Drivers: 360, Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me and It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia. Prior to FX Networks, Julia worked in creative development at MTV Networks where she was fortunate enough to work on several prolific shows such as Jackass. Julia brings the creativity and energy of the entertainment business to Eventbrite, leading the company with innovative thinking and a keen sense of the consumer audience. Julia holds a BA from Pepperdine University.

Julia lives in San Francisco with her husband, Kevin, and young daughter.


Mary Poland, Philanthropist & Fundraiser

Mary Poland is a philanthropist who has raised millions of dollars for San Francisco Bay Area charities.  As a seasoned fundraiser, one of her core competencies is the cultivation of corporate sponsorships.  Mrs. Poland also has a keen interest in freshening charitable event through new ideas and the incorporation of technology, so the guests’ experience is memorable and has a direct correlation to the cause.  A graduate of the University of Washington, Mary is married with one son who is a sophomore at Georgetown.

Layne Gray is a seasoned entrepreneur and philanthropist.   As the founder of Vivanista - the go-to site that bridges Social with Impact, she is committed to helping NGOs increase their effectiveness in charitable fundraising through sharing of best practices.

Gray has raised millions of dollars for a broad spectrum on local, national and international nonprofit organizations through by designing and developing unique fundraising events.  Prior to creating Vivanista she was the Founder of LKE Productions, a $20M consulting firm that specialized in producing conferences, product launches and seminars for technology companies around the world. She also held technical marketing management positions at Oracle and Altos Computer Systems.  Gray received her B.A. from University of Oregon in Quantitative Methods and Marketing.
