Event description

Description

Come out to show your support and bid on holiday gifts and other items at the Paul Robeson House and Museum’s Auction Fundraiser at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017. The auction will be held at the house, 4951 Walnut Street. It will be conducted by Unique Vintique Auction & Estate Sales, along with auctioneer Rodney Graham.

Items to be auctioned include holiday gift items, jewelry, household goods, clothing, artwork, glassware, collectibles/keepsakes, records, books, and more.

The auction will benefit the Paul Robeson House and Museum, the last place where Robeson - an actor, social activist, singer, football star and orator – lived with his sister for 10 years before his death in 1976. The house was
renovated as a space for community and cultural events, many of which are regularly held there.

During the month of November, the fundraiser will also include an online “Hello Dolly Tea Party.” Lovely porcelain dolls along with vintage teapots and cups/saucers will be auctioned through estatesales.com, with some of the proceeds donated to the Robeson House. Some of those items may also be available at the Dec. 2 auction. These will make lovely holiday gifts.

The Robeson House is seeking quality donations for the auction - from jewelry to collectibles to keepsakes to gift items, until Nov. 27.

If you’d like to donate or for more information about the auction, please call 215-747-4675, or email: wphlca@gmail.com, or visit our website at paulrobesonhouse.org. The auction rules can be found on our website.
