Dear Friends and Oakland-boosters,
Please join me at the beautiful new headquarters of Sunset Magazine in Jack London Square for a fundraising event in support of my Officeholder fund.
For decades, Sunset Magazine has celebrated the West Coast's best flavors, destinations, design trends, and innovations. I'm thrilled they now call Oakland home.
Guests can expect a thorough "Oakland Update" while enjoying wine, snacks, and cookies straight from the Sunset test kitchen, and great company -- all in the comfort of this sparkling new venue along Oakland's waterfront.
I hope you can join us, I'm looking forward to a great evening together.
Mayor Libby Schaaf

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
DIRECTIONS TO SUNSET MAGAZINE OFFICES:
Please note that the pedestrian entrance to Sunset is on the Webster Street side of the building, not on the Harrison side.
On foot: Walk into Jack London Square from Webster Street and Embarcadero. You will be in a plaza with palm trees and see Jack London's cabin in the distance. The Sunset building is on your left, (Bocanova restaurant is on your right). Walk up the wide exterior staircase to the second floor. You will have arrived at the entrance to the Sunset headquarters.
Bus: The AC Transit free Broadway Shuttle bus stops at Webster near 2nd St. Check AC Transit's website for other buses to the area.
Car Parking: There is (1) an underground parking lot in Jack London Square with access from Broadway or Franklin and (2) JLS Market Garage, at 255 2nd Street, a large parking structure with entrance on Harrison St, which charges $1.75/hour. Note: Do not use the pedestrian overpass from the parking garage, as it does not connect to Sunset. Walk to street level and enter JLS from Webster Street. (3) Street parking is also available nearby, but can be difficult. It is free after 6 pm.
Bicycle parking: Bike racks nearby in the plaza area.
