Event description

Description

Join us for an evening of traditional Palestinian-Lebanese cuisine in order to raise money and support youth empowerment and child protection for refugees in North Lebanon.

The evening will include a raffle where donations include an Anna Laurini artwork, a Tarot Card reading from Tree Carr and a Dinner for two in London!

Azahir is a Lebanese not-for-profit community-based organisation working in the most marginalised areas and refugee camps of the country. With one community centre in the Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr el Bared, and one in the Lebanese village Tel Maayan near the Syrian border, we are building local capacity and resilience.

Azahir trains local youth with the skills to provide education & psycho-social support to children with war trauma. Our youth leaders and role models engage refugee children with arts, music and sports to realign focus on their own hearts & minds.

This fundraiser dinner and raffle is hosted by charity founder Alexandra Tohme, charity supporter Alexa Pearson and Hiba Restaurant.

Tickets cost £23 and include:

- A £5 donation to the charity
- A Traditional Palestinian three course dinner
- A glass of Arak
- A short talk from Alexandra Tohme on the post-conflict situation of the Palestinian camp Nahr el Bared, as well as on the Azahir Charity Project's efforts for Lebanese, Syrian & Palestinian youth.

+ £1.50 corkage for BYOB (paid on the night if you are drinking)

This is a chance for you to help make a change and be in close contact with those who are nearest to the borders of Palestine and Syria.

We look forward to seeing you for an evening of great conversation, food, drink and prizes!
