Event description
Learn how to navigate funding options for early-stage start-ups from the managing directors of the Coast to Crest Fund.

About this Event

Sponsored by the Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship

As an early-stage founder, understanding the startup funding landscape and best pathway to raising capital can be a real challenge. Join us as Coast to Crest Fund Managing Directors Shane Johnson and Joe Maruschak share their insights into how they think about fundraising and what they look for when supporting a startup.

The Coast to Crest Fund supports early-stage Lane County startups through capital and mentorship. Their portfolio includes companies in the biotech, consumer product, enterprise and food and beverage space. The Coast to Crest Fund's portfolio includes University of Oregon spinouts and alumni companies.

Stick around after the conversation, as we hold our annual UO Elevator Competition where eight UO students will pitch their venture idea for the opportunity to win a $1000 cash pool. Networking to follow.

Food and beverage will be provided.

Funding Perspectives for Early-Stage Founders is part of UO Startup Week, a week-long set of events and activities celebrating innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Oregon and in the greater Eugene/Springfield communities.
