Do you know what you will owe for college?

uAspire's My Brother's and Sister's Keeper program along with SF Achievers, JCYC, and Bayview Hunters Point YMCA is hosting an award letter review event to help African American seniors and families navigate this step in the college process. Please join us Saturday, April 21st for information on how to understand and compare your financial options before the May 1st college decision day. Be sure to bring any financial aid awards you've received!! FAFSA support and community college application assistance will also be available! Open to San Francisco's African American 12th-grade students and families.


AGENDA:

Registration and Breakfast: 9:30-10:00 am

Welcome and Networking with Black Professionals: 10:00-10:45 am

Award Letter Review, Community College Applications, or FAFSA Support: 10:45-12:30 pm

Lunch and Raffle: 12:30-1:00 pm


WHAT TO BRING:

  • If possible, log into college portals in advance and screenshot or print out any financial aid awards, or bring any received in the mail!

  • If submitting or reviewing FAFSA:

    • Parent and student FSA ID

    • Student and parent Social Security Numbers and dates of birth

    • 2016 Federal Income Taxes and W-2s

    • Estimate of bank accounts and any untaxed income
