You and your co-founders have finally managed to land that initial round of funding. Time to relax? Not a chance! You've got to make it to the (1) product launch, (2) next round of financing, (3) successful exit, or (4) all of the above. What changes need to be made to your capitalization structure to prepare for future rounds of financing and ultimately to reach a successful exit event?
Join us for an evening discussion and networking event with entrepreneurs & investors to address the management of your capital structure until an eventual exit.
Our discussion topics will include:
* Rightsizing cap structure to properly incentivize employees (should Eduardo Saverin have been granted a 30% interest in Facebook?)
* Re-vesting: should founders expect to subject their shares to re-vesting?
* Grants: should employees be given follow-on grants (if so, when and how much)?
* Policy: does an equity granting policy need to be implemented?
* Post acquisition: do agreements need to be revised for the optimal outcome following an acquisition (option acceleration, single trigger, double trigger)
