 Fundamentals & Practice of

Agrobacterium-Mediated Plant Transformation

Agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation forms the basis for the modern agricultural biotechnology industry, as well as playing an important role in basic plant science research. However, young scientists frequently do not receive training on the proper use of Agrobacterium or plant transformation. During this workshop, participants will learn about proper handling of Agrobacterium (growth, genetic manipulation, use of antibiotics, vir gene induction, etc.) and modern tools in plant transformation

Guest lecture:

“Use of morphogenetic genes for plant transformation”

Dr. Bill Gordon-Kamm, Corteva Agriscience

This workshop is designed for researchers who are employing Agrobacterium-mediated transformation for both basic and applied plant research
