Fundamentals of Online Teaching - Fall 2013
Monday, October 7, 2013 at 12:00 AM - Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 11:30 PM (EDT)
This course is a four-week, primarily asynchronous, online experience offered within Blackboard. Faculty in this course will experience what it is like to be an online student while completing readings, participating in online discussions and submitting assignments related to the design and delivery of online courses. Each member will invest approximately 5-7 hours per week on course activities, include specific tasks to be completed each week, as well as communication with the other members of the class. Time spent by each individual will be whenever is most convenient for them, with the exception of one synchronous session during the third week of the class where the group will meet online at the same time.
The event follows the Online Education Workshop. Please register for the workshop separately if you plan to attend both.
