Description

With the continuing changes in the global market place and rapid rise in technology, filmmakers face an evolving set of legal and business issues in their industry. This program will provide an overview of the fundamental legal and business issues related to the development, financing, production and distribution of films. Attendees will be provided with a basic understanding of these phases and how to identify legal and business issues that may relate to them and how to address them. There will be a question and answer period open to any legal and/or business topic related to filmmaking.

This course is approved by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education for a maximum of two (2) hours of general credit.

About the speaker
Kirk T. Schroder is a partner at Schroder Brooks Law Firm and is an experienced entertainment and arts law attorney. Kirk is the former chair of the American Bar Association's Entertainment and Sport Law section. He is Co-Editor of The Essential Guide To Entertainment Law published by Juris Publishing. He is a frequent national lecturer on arts and entertainment related matters.
