Hands on modeling practicum for microbial growth, chemical interactions, shelf life, temperature abuse and more. Includes Arrhenius equation, Q10 and QA approaches and methods for controlling water activity.
Session 4: Formulating with Moisture Sorption Isotherms
Practicum on using isotherms to set specifications and address issues such as moisture migration, texture preferences, dissolution rates, coating integrity, powder flow properties. Learn to create mixing models, determine phase transitions, calculate packaging requirements and more.
