Description July 17-18 Level 1 : Wizard Head Bottle Opener

In this two day workshop, master smith and extraordinary blacksmithing instructor Mark Aspery will teach the techniques needed to forge the hand tools used to make a wizard head bottle opener. Once the collection of tools is complete, the class will build the bottle openers. In addition, students are sure to learn the basics of proper hammering techniques, discuss general heat treating fundamentals, and undoubtedly a whole lot more.

Description July 19-21 Level 2 : Tool making, Leaf forming, and forge welding

In this three day workshop, Mark Aspery will teach students to forge and heat treat tooling for forming and shaping leafs. Students will forge a leaf, then forge weld it to a bar. If time permits, different leaf types could be forged - water, acanthus, etc. Also some scroll work, and the usual wealth of general blacksmithing information that Mark is known for.
