About this event
This is a course from the creators of the Difficult Airway Course designed for BLS providers and is appropriate for medical office staff members, dental providers, EMS providers at the BLS or ILS level or anyone else interested in improving their ability to manage an airway emergency outside the hospital setting when back-up may not be immediately available.
The purpose of this course is to lay the foundation of airway management by:
• Reviewing fundamental airway anatomy and airway assessment.
• Reviewing basic procedures for managing patients in respiratory distress.
• Reviewing mask seal and BMV mastery skills.
• Introducing Extraglottic Devices.
• Reviewing role when assisting the airway manager.
• Introduce CPAP.
This CE activity is accredited for 6.75 Basic CEH by First Airway, LLC, an organization accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). Course will be held over 2 evenings to better accommodate student work schedules, class will start at 6pm on November 7 and 9.
Please note, the course will be canceled and registrations refunded if there are not at least 6 registrations received by October 31, 2022.
