About this event
IHQC’s Fundamentals in QI program explores quality and process improvement science tools and strategies, including:
- PDSAs and root cause analysis approaches
- Project management templates
- Using data for improvement
- Scaling-up & accelerating change
- Managing the interpersonal components of change
The program includes:
- Two live virtual trainings to explore QI tools and templates
- Supplementary on-demand video modules
- Deliberate practice opportunities in applying these tools & strategies
- A 30-minute coaching call w/ IHQC Staff
- Access to IHQC’s QI/PI templates and tools
The Fundamentals in QI program is designed for individuals and/or teams who are new to quality improvement as well as those looking for a way to jump-start a new improvement effort. This program is open to all staff members from safety net/community clinics, public hospitals, county health systems, or other organizations.

**While IHQC makes every effort to proceed with scheduled programming, we require a minimum of 10 registrants to launch a program. Registrants will be notifiedof their options, including refunds, in case of a change in schedule or a necessary cancellation on IHQC's part.
**IHQC reserves the right to adjust the syllabus and covered topics of each program.

IHQC is dedicated to improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare. Our mission is to optimize the capacity of California safety net organizations to provide high quality healthcare by advancing their ability to engage and sustain quality improvement initiatives, instill an organizational culture of quality improvement, and improve their readiness for an expanded role in integrated healthcare delivery environments. For over 10 years, IHQC has built a strong reputation and trust among safety net providers by developing a wide range of services tailored to meet their needs. Through the generous support of foundations, clinic associations, and other esteemed institutions, IHQC has delivered evidence-based trainings, technical assistance, and consultative support, offered free of charge or at low cost to participants. More than 100 community clinic and safety net organizations – and well over 1000 providers and staff – throughout California have participated in IHQC’s programs and initiatives. IHQC’s unique participant-driven applied learning approach has had demonstrable impact guiding these clinics to improvements in their patient health outcomes and operational efficiencies.
