Event description

Description

During this day-long introductory workshop, you'll spend time in a Reggio-inspired school, learn about the fundamental values and practices of the Reggio Emilia Approach, and engage in a material exploration. This workshop will highlight how the principles and practices of the schools in Reggio Emilia are implemented with toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children. Examples of emergent investigations with children in U.S. contexts demonstrates how one can draw inspiration from the schools in Reggio Emilia. This workshop is ideal for educators who are new to the Reggio Emilia Approach.

We will begin the workshop at The Advent School (15 Brimmer Street, Boston, MA). In the afternoon, participants will have the option to visit Charlestown Nursery School (124 Main St. Charlestown, MA) to see additional classroom environments.

Registration fee includes morning refreshments and lunch.
