About this Event

This seminar will show you techniques to build a fundraising strategy that is realistic, how to make the most of your time and assets, and help keep you on track to build and expand your development program.

In this session, you will learn how to:

  • Identify effective and sustainable fundraising techniques for your situation
  • Build an annual fundraising calendar to provide maximum results despite minimum resources
  • Recognize your most likely large donors - including institutional donors - and develop strategies to engage them
  • Create metrics and a plan that will keep you on track
  • Productively use your board and organization leadership to build your development program

Janet Levine

Consultant

Since 1988, Janet has been helping nonprofits increase fundraising capacity and create stronger boards. Beginning her career as front-line fundraiser at USC, she ultimately became VP of Advancement at Cal State Dominguez Hills. In between, Janet worked at a variety of organizations including two community colleges, a film organization and a public policy think tank. Her many consulting clients range from large to small, representing all areas of the sector. A much sought trainer and presenter, Janet has also written several books on fundraising and grantwriting.
