LINDA BUCKMASTER
Poet Laureate of Belfast, ME & author of Space Heart

SUSAN LILLEY
Poet Laureate of Orlando, FL & author of Satellite Beach

Linda Buckmaster grew up in 1960s Space Coast Florida, the daughter of a rocket engineer and one of the first children to undergo open-heart sugery. Buckmaster will read from her memoir, Space Heart, alongside Susan Lilley, who will read poems inspired by the Space Coast. Both writers will discuss growing up in Florida, writing about Florida, and life as poet laureates.

  • In the Mandell Theater at the Shakespeare Center.
  • Tickets not required, but RSVP is appreciated.
  • Seating is first come, first served, general admission.
  • Books for sale. Beer / wine by donation.
  • Parking: there's a large parking lot in front of the venue.
