To provide attendees with a concise way to evaluate common physiological dysfunctions on blood tests. Emphasis is on the evaluation and understanding of specific patterns which can be seen when markers are observed in relationship with one another. Basic review of the CBC, CMP and lipid panel will be covered along with markers specific to digestive insufficiencies, blood sugar handling issues and hepato/biliary markers. Participants will have greater understanding of blood testing in general and be provided an extensive course syllabus with references on each marker discussed along with reference charts of common patterns of dysfunctions. Emphasis will focus on the usefulness and clinical relevance of serum testing to enhance clinical outcomes.
On completion of this course, attendees will:
- Have a basic understanding of over 35 blood markers as seen on the CBC, CMP and Lipid panels
- Recognize specific serum patterns indicating possible dysfunctions in digestive function, glucose handling and liver health
- Be able to extract useful clinical information by evaluating blood chemistry patterns
- Recognize the 5 most common dysfunctions seen on the blood chemistry panels discussed
