Event description

Description

Solder is the glue that holds the world of electronics together. Whether you are fixing a broken lamp, putting together a kit, or building your own project from scratch, soldering is an indespensible skill. While it can seem intimidating at first, soldering is easy to learn, inexpensive, and a valuable life skill. In this workshop, participants will learn through-hole soldering on a practice board, then proceed to build a simple project they can take with them.

Note: Close-toed shoes must be worn for this workshop. Please see the Safety Page for all Maker Hub rules: https://www.library.georgetown.edu/makerhub/safety. Attendance is limited to 8 due to supplies of soldering irons, but if you have your own Soldering Iron, feel free to drop in.
