Students of all ages are expected to use inferencing skills in their academic classrooms. As SLPs working in the school setting, we must assist our students in all areas of language so they can be successful. All of the suggested therapy ideas will be direct, evidence-based, related to common core, interactive, hands on, and engaging. The presenter will demonstrate how to work on inferencing using pictures, wordless picture books, passages, videos and more. The presenter will share various resources to find therapy materials to work on inferencing. Participants will walk away with practical therapy ideas and materials they can use the very next day. They will also have the framework necessary to design their own ideas using the objects discussed. Format of this session will interactive so participants will have an opportunity to learn from each other as well.

Learner Objectives:

Identify resources available to work on inferencing.
