Discover why Miami is called the Magic City! Enjoy a spectacular night under the full moon. We will be paddling out to enjoy a spectacular sunset and watch the full moon light up the Miami Skyline!

The City lights glimmer as do the stars above the Miami Skyline and Port of Miami. We will then start our way back to the Outdoor Center and watch the Full Moon rise before us. The Moonlight will guide our way back to the Outdoor Center.

**CAN I BRING MY OWN KAYAK/BOARD/CANOE? **Yes, you can! Please be sure to RSVP ahead of time by selecting the BYO option. All crafts are required to have a coastguard approved light. Each person on the craft must have a lifejacket accessible to them. Children are REQUIRED by law to have them all. Lights and Lifejackets are required for these paddles. No lights/lifejackets, no paddle, it's the law. All BYOBs must be set up by the launch at least 20 minutes before start time.

**TIME & PLACE: **Meet at Virginia Key Outdoor Center, 3801 Rickenbacker Causeway, Miami, FL 33149. Please arrive at least 30-minutes before your event start time. Late arrivals are non-refundable.

**DIFFICULTY: **This paddle is suitable for experienced beginners. Conditions will determine the length and final route. Not recommended for first-time paddle boarding or kayaking. We will paddle at a leisurely pace. If you are a first timer, please considering buddying up with a more experienced kayaker in a double kayak.

**AFTER PADDLE? **Absolutely. Bring something for the grill, a beverage, and a dry change of clothes. Bring something to share and be prepared to chill with new and old friends. Dominoes, music, view the lovely night sky… If you drink, you must drink responsibly. Soft drinks, snacks, insect repellent, and lights are available from the park store.

RENTALS:

Kayaks, Paddleboards, and Surf Skis are available for rent through Virginia Key Outdoor Center. All Rentals include kayak/paddleboard, paddle, life jacket, and light.

WEATHER / REFUNDS

The Virginia Key Outdoor Center will make the final determination as to postponement of the tour. We aren't able to give refunds. We will reschedule if the trip is called off due to weather or other circumstances.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

WELCOME TO VKOC and The Paddle House

Masks and distancing are required while visiting the parks, VKOC and the Paddle House. Please be sure to wear your mask while in the retail area, all indoor spaces including bathroom, and while engaging in passive activities such as walking.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE: To make distancing easier we have rental agreement available under the canopy outside the rental office.. Please complete the form. Be sure to include your full contact info and emergency contact. ALL participants must print and sign the acknowledgment on the back of the form. For minors, list names and parent/guardian signs.

WHEN YOU RETURN FROM YOUR RENTAL: VKOC/Paddle House takes extra steps to sanitize all shared equipment and common contact areas. When you return from your rental please place your life jacket or helmet in the designated bins. Showers are available behind the facility for your convenience. Our bathrooms are open and stocked with soap for hand washing. Sanitizer is also available on the deck and in the retail/rental room.
