Event description

Description

Fulfill is a micro-granting initiative inspired by community-based organizations such as Sunday Soup and Philly Stake. For a $20-30 donation you will be served a delicious, locally sourced meal in dishware made by the Tyler School of Art and Architecture Ceramics and Glass Departments, with napkins created by the Fibers & Material Studies Department. All of the money raised will be evenly re-granted to the following three non-profit organizations:

City of Elderly Love: City of Elderly Love (COEL) is a no-kill senior pet rescue based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since it’s launch in 2014, COEL has rescued over 700 senior dogs and cats from euthanasia, primarily from Philadelphia’s open-admission animal control shelter. COEL does not maintain a physical location, but instead operates out of a network of amazing foster and hospice care homes throughout Philadelphia and it’s surrounding areas.

Esperanza Immigration Legal Services: Esperanza Immigration Legal Services (EILS) was formed in 2009 with the mission to provide direct legal services, advocacy, and community education for underserved immigrants and their families so they have the opportunity to contribute to and participate in American society. EILS is located in the heart of a low-income Latino neighborhood in North Philadelphia, offering convenient, affordable and culturally accessible services to the most underserved immigrants, with a focus on the Hispanic community in particular.

Philly Tree People: Philly Tree People (PTP) is a volunteer operated neighborhood-based non-profit organization dedicated to organizing tree plantings and maintaining the health of the urban forest in 19125 and 19134. Formed in Spring 2007, PTP is a group of community volunteers who think more trees are needed throughout Philadelphia and are dedicated to helping people get trees, and maintaining those trees.
