Event description

Description

Note Venue Change!

Parents and students have been conditioned to fear the college admission process, and in doing so we often fail to see the good moments and the positive outcomes.

Join Maria Furtado, Executive Director of Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL), in "The Good, the Bad, and the OMG of College Admission," a frank discussion about the college admission process.

In this warm, witty, and dynamic presentation, Ms. Furtado offers parents and students a greater understanding of and appreciation for topics related to college choice and student-centered college search. CTCL is a leading advocate on the subject of higher education access and college choice.

Parents, students, and educators welcome! Free admission. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Please have your electronic or paper ticket ready.

This event is sponsored by the Fremont Union High Schools Foundation in conjunction with their recently-launched Parent Resource Network. Please visit fuhsfoundation.org for more information.

The information I learned from Maria Furtado’s presentation was eye-opening. As someone who did not go to college in the US, I was unaware of the rich curriculum offerings of liberal arts colleges. I wish my children had more access to the information shared by Ms. Furtado when they applied for colleges.”

- Benaifer Dastoor, FUHS Foundation Board Member and Co-Chair, Parent Resource Network.
