About this Event

The Transportation sector is one of the largest contributors of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) in California. Rapid deployment of new vehicle technologies is now the path for active GHG reduction. Implementation of new policies and measures targeting these emission reductions are occurring fast fostering these technological changes. Knowing where to look for innovation, in which technologies to invest, and which fuel types represent the best options, are key to managing effective change in the sector. Broad adoption of Natural Gas and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) in California’s Transportation sector can be a key part of the solution by providing clean, viable, affordable fuel…and it is available now.

Featured Speaker: Manny Alarcón

Manny Alarcon received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. He joined the Sempra utilities in 2008 and have served in various business and policy development roles in the commercial and industrial sectors, as an Account Executive, Energy Efficiency lead and Training Supervisor. He is currently the Clean Transportation Project Manager, leading market development activities in medium and heavy-duty alternative-fuel vehicle market for both SoCalGas and SDG&E (Sempra utilities).
