FuckUp Nights Brussels: On The Edge

Welcome to the On The Edge edition of FuckUp Nights Brussels!

This FuckUp Night is a special one as it is the kick-off of our Living On The Edge event. You may expect speakers from Romania, the UK, Croatia and Armenia and a FuckUp concert by the best singer songwriter of the universe: Nele Needs A Holiday!

These are the summaries of our candid FuckUp speakers:

- Anca Banita, PR professional joining from Bucharest, Romania. Anca is responsible for communication at Let's Do It, Romania!, the biggest social movement in Romania, an initiative to clean up the whole country in just one single day. She will share with us some important lessons learned after organizing a crowdfunding campaign that managed to reach only 10% of the total amount planned.

- Patrick Andrews, joining us from Hampshire, United Kingdom. Patrick is a law, business and governance advisor who was made redundant so many times that he decided to start his own company. He will tell us how he dealt with the confusion, rejecion and insecurities that come with losing one's job and what it took for him to find his space outside the 'normal' corporate life.

- Anna Kamay, joining us from Yerevan, Armenia. Anna is the program coordinator of the Armenian Redwood Project, a non-profit aimed at improving the well being of Syrians in Armenia. Armenia has taken more Syrian refugees than France, Italy, the UK, Spain and Germany combined. Anna will share what she learned from the ways in which her country failed to deal with the big amount of newcomers and what action she advices the rest of Europe to take.

- Jasen Lakic, entrepreneur from Croatia, which he left many years ago as a refugee himself. Jasen's biggest professional failure was the organization of a big event on e-sports. The event never actually happened, meaning all energy and money invested went to waste and Jasen ended up broker than broke. Come listen to his talk to learn what he learned!
