Description

FSMA - FSPCA Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP) Course

The “Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP) for Importers of Food for Humans and Animals” regulation of the U.S. FDA applies to all food products grown or manufactured outside of and brought into the United States. The regulation is complex, and the U.S. Importer now has the responsibility of ensuring that its foreign suppliers are doing what they need to do in order to meet the same food safety standards as food grown & produced in the U.S. Only one example of the complexity is with the Dietary Supplements & components; although exempt from the Preventive Controls Rule, they are not exempt from the FSVP requirements!

This course is designed for U.S.-based importers who meet the definition of “FSVP Importer,” which includes those who own or are the consignee of food at time of entry, or if no owner or consignee exists, the U.S. agent or representative of the foreign owner. The “FSVP Importer” must be identified at entry and the “FSVP Importer’s” Compliance will be determined through a domestic inspection program .

Simple Compliance Solution LLC, now offers FSPCA-approved classroom training, both at public venues and on-site at companies/organizations, or at a company or organization’s preferred location for private training.
