From [The Centre] to [The Edge] : A Forum on the Politics of Border and Hong Kong’s Identity

While Hong Kong is located in the periphery of China, its status as some forms of “centre” (such as financial) and related identity are increasingly shaped and challenged by an assortment of political, economic and cultural forces across the Mainland border in the past 20 years. Begin with questioning how Hong Kong’s identity is influenced by the politics of border, this forum seeks to identify the new position of Hong Kong in relation to critical questions of centre-periphery.
