About this event
Hear Paypal founder and U.S Ambassador to Sweden Ken Howery talk entrepreneurship at a virtual lecture by iStart and KTH Innovation on December 17th!
Ambassador Howery started PayPal together with Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, shortly after his time at university. Following his engagement as an entrepreneur, he later co-founded the venture capital firm Founders Fund, one of the earliest investors in Facebook and SpaceX.
What is it like to go from a startup to a billion-dollar company, and how do you make entrepreneurship the first step in your career?
As Ambassador, Howery’s goals have been to expand trade and investment between the United States and Sweden through entrepreneurship and innovation, strengthen defense cooperation, and promote academic and cultural exchanges. Amb. Howery has visited Chalmers University of Technology, Luleå University of Technology, and Lund University. And now the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) will have the honor!
Ambassador Howery’s lecture will be followed by a discussion with Lisa Ericsson, Head of KTH Innovation and CEO of KTH Holding. Lisa Ericsson has over 20 years of experience working with entrepreneurship and innovation in the academic sphere. Her contributions have helped form the great startup spirit at KTH.
