From Seed to Table: Food in Your Community

Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

West Nash United Methodist Church

2200 Nash Street North

Wilson, NC

Participants will discover a role for churches, faith-based organizations and community groups to engage in their local food economy. Whether it’s building partnerships with local growers, composting, or selling a value-added product, there are many ways churches can participate.

Cost

There is NO charge for this workshop. However, ALL participants must pre-register.

Lodging

Participants traveling more than 2.0 hours away from event site. Resourceful Communities will arrange all accommodations and rooms are based on double occupancy.

If you do not have a roommate, one will be assigned to you. Roommates must also be registered for the convening.

Meals

AM/PM snacks, and lunch will be provided. Our caterer will do their best to accommodate meals. If you require a special diet, please be sure to bring something you can snack on.

Mileage Allowance

A mileage allowance will be provided. 1 (one) per car!

Resourceful Communities helps grassroots leaders create opportunities that preserve the rural landscape, access much-needed resources, and celebrate unique local cultures.
