- Jeanette Gower – Jeanette has spent over 50 years breeding Australian Stock Horses under the Chalani prefix. A respected judge, foremost authority in horse colour genetics, and highly respected writer, she brings with her a wealth of practical know-how and insights. She has recently written the exceptional book The Thinking Horse Breeder, which will be available to purchase on the night.
Jeanette's topic will be Strategic Breeding: The Art of Stallion Selection for Your Mare is designed for new and hobby breeders who want to make smarter, more intentional stallion choices. Instead of relying on flashy marketing or guesswork, you’ll learn to evaluate your mare honestly, analyze stallion data critically, and match for long-term quality and purpose.
This talk blends practical experience with strategic thinking, so you can breed foals you’re proud of and make choices with confidence.
