From Death to Life: Sharing the Story
Sat, April 22, 2017, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM CDT
“From Death to Life” is a small, grass-roots organization dedicated to ending violence through healing and reconciliation between families of victims and those who have caused harm. We offer healing groups empowering mothers to come to terms with the impact of homicide through emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical healing. The organization was founded by Mary Johnson-Roy after she came to forgive Oshea Israel, the young man who took her only son's life. She now claims him as her spiritual son and together they share their inspirational story of healing and reconciliation around the country.
We are currently seeking individuals who would like to join us in our mission...as board members, committee members, volunteers, or supporters in some other capacity. Interested in learning more?
Come hear the story of From Death to Life from founder Mary Johnson-Roy and others involved with the organization and see where you might fit into our FDTL "family". If the spirit is nudging you to attend, but you are unsure why, please come and find out. You might be pleasantly surprised! There is no expectation that those who attend will make a commitment to the organization.
Breakfast treats, coffee, tea and juice and will be served. Door opens at 9:30am.
This event is sponsored by Alafia Foundation.
