Are you a 40+ mama with your own business or “weird” job who wants to transform chronic muscle tightness and joint pain and get back to doing more of what you love?

This FREE inspiring talk + mamas' mini-retreat is for you!

Enjoy a cozy evening in my humble home, complimentary beverages and light snacks. You’ll get to connect with fellow mamas in a casual, relaxing, intimate setting. Plus, I'll help you to:

  • Discover new ways to understand the pain messages from your body and why the approaches you’ve tried may not be working

  • Learn how to turn the switch for pain in your brain to the OFF position with a gentle, proactive, and challenging-at-just-the-right level movement approach that strengthens your 40+ body and mind

  • Leave with tools to make your movement/yoga practice fit into your busy life AND to make it simple, enjoyable, and pleasurable (so you’ll actually do it!)

Space is limited. Registration is required to attend.

Location and Accessibility:

  • Carpooling is always recommended!

  • My home is in the north end of Scotts Valley, near the High School. Driving directions and parking details will be emailed to you with your registration confirmation.

  • FYI: There are some visitor parking spots, and also plenty of parking on Grace Way, and then a short walk up a small hill to my home.

What will I get out of this?

This gathering will be beneficial for you if you can say YES to any of the following:

  • If you feel frustrated that you’re not able to move as well as you used to — Taking care of your established business and your family and even everyday tasks like sitting, standing, lifting things, and driving are taking their toll.

  • If you’re exhausted from moving your body around trying to feel “okay” — you’re still pushing through, but at the end of the day, you’re starting to wonder about your future and if you’ll really be able to “stay in the game”

  • If you’re depleted from sleepless nights — moving pillows around trying to get comfy isn’t cutting it, especially when you’ve got a business and career to lead, kids to care for, and family life to be “on” for

  • If you’re afraid that you’ll miss out on adventures — You’re used to being a “get it done” person and hiking up that mountain or even running across the street seems like risky business these days

  • If you’re worried about long-term effects of painkillers — to your body, your pocketbook and your future ability to keep working

  • If you’re majorly distracted from your life’s work — when you’re brain is focused on pain, it’s tough to free up energy for keeping your established career going long-term, creating new projects, delivering the important stuff you’ve got to give to the world and have something left over for family life.

  • If you could use a relaxing mini-retreat, connecting with a group of lovely local mamas who are probably in the same boat as you when it comes to how you feel about your body and moving

  • If you're ready for positive change to start unfolding faster in your life

  • If you'd like inspiration, motivation and momentum to make progress and feel better in the months before the busy holiday season kicks in

Complimentary beverages and light snacks:

  • All snacks will be delicious and vegetarian-friendly. If you have additional dietary restrictions, feel free to bring additional snacks.

  • A fun non-alchoholic drink, wine, beer and sparkling water will be available at the evening gathering.

What to bring:

Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to move a TINY bit. This is NOT a yoga or movement class, but we may play around with some "mini-movement" and some breathing techniques, so I'd love for you to be at ease!

If the weather is nice, we may sit outside, so you may want layers for various options. The evenings have been chilly latey, but I have an outdoor heater! Consider an extra layer, as well as a notebook and pen for taking some notes.

Kids or No Kids?

Allow yourself some mamas-only time for a few hours. Please leave your children in someone else's care for these few hours.

Cancellations

If you've reserved a spot and are not able to make it after all, please be courteous and cancel at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may have the opportunity to have your spot.
