Attorney Roberta Kaplan
Roberta Kaplan is the founding partner of Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP . She serves as lead counsel in representing the plaintiffs in the case against two dozen prominent white supremacists, neo-Nazis and hate groups for the violent events which occurred in Charlottesville in August, 2017. Kaplan's firm partnered with Integrity First for America, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to holding those accountable who threaten longstanding principles of our democracy—including our country's commitment to civil rights and equal justice
Among other achievements, Ms. Kaplan has been selected as one of “The 100 Most Influential Lawyers” in the U.S., as “Litigator of the Year,” as “Lawyer of the Year,” and as the “Most Innovative Lawyer of The Year.” In 2013, her landmark victory in United States v. Windsor brought down the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act, landing the first major legal victory in the battle for marriage equality. She is also the co-founder of the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund and an adjunct professor of law at Columbia Law School.
On September 24, 2020, Kaplan's firm filed a lawsuit with the New York Supreme Court in Manhattan, on behalf of plaintiff Mary L. Trump, accusing President Donald J. Trump and his siblings, Maryanne Trump Barry and Robert Trump, of decades of financial fraud and civil conspiracy

Joanna Mendelson
Joanna Mendelson is part of ADL’s national team, serving as Associate Director for the Center on Extremism, which combats extremism, terrorism and all forms of hate in the real world and online. Ms. Mendelson has worked at ADL since August 2000. To date, she has trained more than 12,000 federal, state and local law enforcement officers, judges and public officials nationwide. She is a certified subject matter expert on domestic terrorism-related activity and has provided testimony in numerous criminal cases. In partnership with her COE colleagues and law enforcement partners, she has helped thwart potential extremist attacks against Jews and other vulnerable communities. Additionally, Ms. Mendelson authored, then testified and successfully lobbied in favor of legislation addressing paper terrorism tactics used by sovereign citizens. She frequently represents ADL on national and international media outlets, including CNN, the BBC and CBS. Additionally, Ms. Mendelson is the recipient of ADL’s prestigious Senn Award for professional excellence. She graduated magna cum laude from Emory University with a dual degree in Conflict Resolution and Spanish. She lives and works in Los Angeles.
Special Agent in Charge Voviette Morgan
Ms. Morgan serves as Special Agent in Charge of the Intelligence Division at FBI Los Angeles. Ms. Morgan is responsible for driving the complete integration of intelligence and operations within FBI Los Angeles. Prior to this assignment, Ms. Morgan was the SAC of the FBI Los Angeles Criminal Division responsible for the Public Corruption, Financial Crimes, Violent Crime, Civil Rights, Health Care Fraud, and Transnational Organized Crime programs within Los Angeles.
